Micro-Tilt Neck Adjustor $45 External Mod
Control: adjustment screw in neck plate
Function: Modification for guitars with bolt-on necks. This modification allows you to easily adjust your guitar's neck angle without shimming. Mod includes kit installation, neck reset, and new strings. Many strats now come with micro-tilt.
18v Electronics System $30 Internal Mod
Control: Additional on-board 9v battery
Function: System boost to 18v versus standard 9v for active electronics. Substantial difference in brightness and tone. Guitar will now require two 9v batteries on board. Batteries included in mod. Routing for battery compartment is extra.
Shock Prevention Modification $25 Internal Mod
Control: additional circuit (cap / resistor) wired into volume potentiometer
Function: Protects the guitarist in the event of amp ground failure. This is a really good idea for any guitarist that gigs outside, in older venues where wiring may be suspect, or in any area that may be damp. This is accomplished by isolating the guitar's string ground (ground to bridge) from the rest of the electronics.
Active Electronics Battery Switch Mod $25 Internal Mod
Control: Stereo output jack and additional wiring
Function: For guitars with active electronics - when you unplug your guitar, there is no drain on your on-board battery. Another variation of this modification is to add an actual switch.
Independent Volume Controls $25 Internal Mod
Control: Alternative wiring for pickups and volume pots
Function: Allows you to adjust each pickup volume independently without affecting the other pickup.
Pickup Blender Switch $30 Internal Mod
Control: Blender pot (replaces tone pot)
Function: This internal modification allows you to blend your pickups instead of having to use one or the other (Guitars with 2 pickups).
Rotary Pickup Selector Switch $65 External Mod
Control: Rotary pickup selector switch
Function: This external mod uses a rotary selector switch in place of the 5-way standard switch. A rotary switch is capable of many more pickup combinations than the normal 5-way.
Standby Switch $45 Internal or External Mod
Control: Toggle switch, push-pull pot (your choice)
Function: This very popular modification that "cuts" the signal, or turns off t he guitar between numbers. A toggle switch is added to your guitar to enable this external modification. This mod has proven exceptionally helpful in eliminating that embarrassing feedback when left unattended (especially hollow-bodies).
Kill Switch $35 Internal or External Mod
Control: Push button, toggle, push-pull pot (your choice)
Function: This external mod is very similar to the standby switch mod. A button / switch is added that produces an instantaneous and complete signal cut, a plus for different "effects".
Treble Bleed $25 Internal Mod
Control: Additional cap/resistor wired into volume circuit
Function: This internal mod prevents treble loss or "muddying" or getting really bassy or "muddy" when turning your volume down. The mod allows some of the high frequency to bleed into the output circuit when turning the volume down, making the guitar brighter at lower volume.
Coil Tap $50 Internal or External Mod
Control: Mini-toggle switch or Push-pull Pot
Function: This internal mod uses a switch as a temporary conversion of a humbucker to a single coil pickup. This gives the guitar a new set of sounds in addition to "stock" sounds. Note: humbucker pickups must be 4 wire connector pickups.
Increased Brightness Mod $35 Internal Mod
Control: Additional cap/resistor wired into volume circuit
Function: This internal mod results in increased brightness to tone, and stronger overall output.
Tone Split Mod - Strat Styled $35 Internal Mod
Control: 2nd tone pot
Function: This modification shifts the tone control of your Strat styled guitar so that the Neck and Middle pickup share a tone pot and tone control, and the bridge pickup is controlled by the 2nd tone control.
Push-Pull Control for Phase Switching $35 Internal Mod
Control: Push-pull pot under the neck pickup tone knob.
Function: Throws the bridge pickup electrically "out of phase" with the neck pickup when the two are combined.
Series / Parallel Switch (Push-Pull Pot) $35 Internal Mod
Control: Push-pull pot under the neck pickup tone knob.
Function: The coils of each humbucking pickup are normally combined in series. This switch allows them to be combined in parallel in the neck pickup to produce a more glassy (i.e. Strat-like) sound.
Variable Tone $25 Internal or External Mod
Control: Toggle switch or Push-Pull Pot with additional capacitors (different values)
Function: You can use this “cap switching” mod not only on a Stratocaster, but virtually all tone controls in every guitar. In a nutshell, this mod adds a switch (either push-pull or toggle) with two capacitors, and you can toggle between them.
Phase Reversal Switch $35.00 Internal or External Mod
Control: Mini-toggle switch or Push-Pull Pot for volume or tone control
Function: This additional switch will reverse the connection to one of the pickups when the switch is activated. Tone variation is only noticeable when used in conjunction with one of the other pickups.
Volume and Tone Control with One Pot $40 Internal Mod
Control: Push-pull pot under volume control knob.
Function: One push-pull pot for both volume and tone In the normal position this is a volume pot. Pull it up, and it’s a tone control. Good for when space is tight, it also adds flexibility: each pickup can have its own dedicated volume/tone control.
Pickup Blender Mod (LP styled guitars) $40 Internal Mod
Control: Dual concentric volume pot replaces stock pot
Function: Rather than all or nothing via switch, A blender allows you to blend two incoming signals to achieve a desired input from each source (pickup).
Control: adjustment screw in neck plate
Function: Modification for guitars with bolt-on necks. This modification allows you to easily adjust your guitar's neck angle without shimming. Mod includes kit installation, neck reset, and new strings. Many strats now come with micro-tilt.
